Some quick highlights from an action packed June:
- I turned a wee bit older in June and we headed to Indy for the weekend. We saw an amazing DMB show with our great friends Crystal and Eric. Happy Birthday to me!
- Evan and I were lucky enough to be able to stay in Indy for the week with my parents. It was great getting to meet so many of our new baby friends. Nico, Nora, Luke and June were all delightful. We had a crazy playdate for all of the kids, where barely any Mommy talking occurred. We are now heftily outnumbered!
- My parents were great and watched Evan while I got a lovely night out full of Mexican food, a beer and some of the best girl talk with my oldest and dearest friends; Bridge, Court, Con, Sahmmy and Lis
- My cousin got married in South Bend at the end of the month. Evan attended his first wedding, well part of it...he got a little bit fussy and Dad decided to take him out as to not disrupt the ceremony. Great Aunts Marcia and Judy were wonderful babysitters at the hotel, while Eric and I enjoyed the reception. This was also Evan's first trip to South Bend outside the womb, he has no idea how many more times he'll be back there :-)
- I've been keeping up with my workout class, Biceps, Babies and Buggies. Going twice a week for most of the month.
And July:
- We were lucky and spent the 4th of July holiday in Cape Cod with some great friends from our Notre Dame days; Marshall and Amy Miller, Kacy Couchman and Chris Adams. It was my first time out there, as well as Evan's first plane ride and trip to the East Coast. He was a champ! He did better on the way out then the way back, but timing for flights is tricky and he was very excited by all of the new sights and sounds of the plane.

- Evan turned 6 months! It's hard to believe. He is still babbling a lot and log rolling all over the floor. We have started with some solid food; oatmeal cereal and sweet potatoes to start. He seems to really like the oatmeal. He is also cutting his first tooth, it's about half way in. Sometimes he is getting up on his hands and knees and rocking back and forth, so I know we are going to have a crawler on our hands shortly.

- My good friend Courtney came to visit. It was her first time here to our new house and it was so nice to have her come stay with us. We took Evan to a park to check out the swings and then enjoyed a much deserved girls night out of dinner and an improv show. Eric was great and took care of Evan for the night.
